 I think those injuries will leave him feeling he missed a chance to prove himself a bit better in L1. He’ll be keen to know if he has a chance of doing that next season ie will he have a suitable squad to manage? And I think if anything reasonable comes in from a lower half L1 team or a better-paying L2 title hopeful then he might be tempted.

 Would say that on a nothing match, there's always that shit tackle or sending off that lingers and the injury or the ban that goes with them that messes the start of the following season. On that basis don't play anyone you want available for the 1st match next season...

 On Lewis, I said in Jan I don't see anybody signing him, his injury record for us has been awful and hes not had a good season. I'd be offering him a lower wage and seeing if he fancies trying to keep himself fit and show his worth with a decent pre-season, if not he'll probably get a gig in L2.

 Its actually quite nice to go early on this stuff (if there is nothing riding on the last game), especially if long serving players are leaving, gives the fans a chance to say goodbye in an easy going environment.
