Also while Galty was watching MK, we were funding and starting the club for him to get the benefit a few seasons later(freeloader)😂

The traffic driving back from Sheffield today was great. 3 hours door to door. Minimal traffic jams. None on the M25. I was amazed.
Paying years of tax and NI pays for the NHS and Bus pass (hopefully)it's not free. Only someone who was born with a silver spoon would think that way.

ML - ignore him. All he talks about is money. He moans about people not paying enough and him not being prepared to subsidise their hobby while he wants existing fans to be replaced with new rich fans to subsidise his ambition. It's called hypocracy. 90 of the 92 league clubs are privately owned and funded. Owners will stomp up for their own reasons. Why do we think we should be different? We'll either end up in non-league, go into administration or go bust. Our constitution will prevent any meaningful change in ownership. The DTB have already shown they will not amend discounts on ticket prices, even for just premium seats so we're stuck.

Given what happened to WFC in 2002, when powerless supporters were blamed by the ill informed, for him to surface on here again and do the same to us now is insulting and unwelcome.
Trigger - correct. But it is not going to come from our model in the required £s. It’s so clear and has been for years

Whichever side of the ownership model you’re on the answer is the same - we need more money. Sadly our leadership seem to be being heavily influenced by those who seek to remove money from the entire football industry and thereby have us somehow come out as winners via that route.

Talking of songs - the one spurs fans were singing at Burnley apparently made me laugh - “Tottenham go backwards / sideways everywhere they go”

We should adopt it
What was the song being sung on repeat for ages in the 2nd half that had a verse in it referring to a clown? I'm not a singer but do like to know the words. I've not heard it before. Nice that Ryan Johnson now has his own song. If it wasn't for Seddon being a shoe in for POTY he'd have been in with a shout. He was a bit ropey last season but has stepped up this season.

Not sure why some of our lot were singing Jimmy Savile is one of their own to Rotherham supporters. He didn't come there or have anything to do with them. Think they were getting confused with the Chuckle Brothers.
JG: I blame the people who won’t sell. You are holding our club back. In a world of fantasy. We are in a pro sport multi £ world. Get real. If you want to look at this fantasy in practical terms. The £25k or so raised in the WE are Wimbledon fund is a prime example. That would pay for a free transfers wages for about 3 months? We need to times that 25k by 50 to 100 just to stay still on salaries. Let alone the rest of it. It’s not happening with this ownership model

Just said the same on Facebook
My gut feel is that a few fans would stop coming altogether; a few more would attend less matches. But that most of this reduction would be taken up by others – either existing fans currently unable to purchase additional tickets for friends or family or new fans. Would these additional/new fans be more or less likely to spend on food, drink and merchandise once in the stadium? Overall, I suspect that we would close the £2.8m deficit.

Not that I ever would – but if I was stupid enough to ever be persuaded to buy the Club – the first question I would ask is: has anyone done any elasticity testing of our average matchday seat revenue. We are currently at virtual capacity for most home games at an average revenue per “bum on seat” of around £14.50 (net vat). If we increased this to £26 (net vat) what would the overall impact on revenue be?

There is so much negativity on here around our financial position – much of it misinformed or devoid of constructive solution. Last year’s revenue of £10.1m (whilst in League 2) puts us easily in the top half of all current league 1 & 2 clubs. Our losses were £2.8m, much higher than the EBITA figure some people have stated as depreciation is a real expense, not some mythical amount which can be ignored. It’s a relatively small amount of money but one which is unsustainable. I am as frustrated as anyone on here about our lack of ambition when it comes to the playing budget but I don’t believe that this can be resolved over the long term simply by finding a fairy godmother/father to bail us out. Instead, I lay the blame at some of my fellow fans, many of whom post on here, who were unprepared to pay their way – always wanting someone else to pay – whether it be for their free bus passes, NHS treatment and now subsidised Wimbledon Match Day tickets.

The picture on the OS with the item about the meet the boards meeting shows a bloke I didn't recognise flanked, far less prominently, by Michele Little and Mick Buckley. Mr P reckons he's a pretty heavyweight PR type who's been co-opted onto the plc board. Are they really going to try to schmooze us into something?

Laurence should have access all.areas,he's been their done it, doing his press service.and volunteer roles for years.. it's obvious someone has taken a dislike over something? From what other have said he isn't the only volunteer to be treated badly since the NPL move.

The static coming off some of Laurence’s v neck knitwear makes him a security risk

Static is static and is a conduit for fire.
Stuart- you clearly have your view on this and I have mine- neither of us are going to change, so I will leave it there. In the scale of things- with the club nearing administration- none of these sorts of issues are going to matter much anyway.

Again Nick you’re making this personal to an individual. Passes are allocated to volunteers based on the role they do. All volunteers have guidelines to stick to regardless if they are a volunteer or a paid staff member. We are all normal fans surely just as one member, one vote?

Stuart- but that comes back to the fact that someone (I recognise not you) decided that Laurence (who has historically been involved with the press side of the club, not just a random fan) couldn’t now have a valid pass, so again it is someone “deciding” not to allow Laurence access (whether for good or bad reasons I can’t judge, but I certainly wouldn’t exclude it being for unfair reasons). As OI points out, the recent incidents around the election have totally (for me at least) demolished the idea that the club will act fairly in any situation with someone outside the “gang” - once you lose trust like that, it is gone.

The problem is that there is a perception that club/DT powers are used in personal vendettas. It may or may not be true though the evidence seems strong in at least one case but it reflects a poor atmosphere typical of organisations going through some sort of crisis.

To be clear Nick, anyone without a valid pass with access too press box is not allowed in. It’s the same if you or I tried to get into hospitality if we didn’t have a valid pass or ticket.

Guidelines will identify who is and who isn’t a security risk - someone actively chose how to classify Laurence for that purpose- it didn’t just “happen”. So the question of why he is seen as a security risk is a valid one, even if one doesn’t know the answer.

OI, there was no such thing as a pitch being too wet when I played. I loved making slide tackles from "20 yards" away.
