I luv you Gumbo smiley
but back to more mundane matters, how did Foden get binned and Fernandes didn't even get a yellow? There were some home-town calls in the first 15 minutes, but nothing particularly egregious.

Good luck, Ginge. We mentioned you the other day when a friend opened a bottle of Pouilly Fumé (sp?) for us. Hope the crap times pass.

And the DTB had better ask someone else for dosh now- they've made it clear what they think of us old farts who used to put our hands in our pockets.
trigs - it absolutely destroys your bladder (for some reason, it affects males a gazillion times more than it affects females). Fortunately, I was only an occasional participant (end of comment removed at tGG's request)

OI - I agree with that, but I also recognise that it's a somewhat academic discussion, as I don't think that the DT would adopt that approach anyway - they will keep plugging at the "please, please, please, please.....give us your money" emails until time runs out or we get bought out by someone and the issue goes away

Ditto what others have said tGG, hang in there fella. The FAQ's myth, it goes on everywhere, the writer posts Q&A's to the stuff they want to get out that nobody asks, and then uses it as engaging with their audience. Never is a public questions received are displayed and a the replys published..

For any younger wuppers or parents of younger wuppers. Saw a decent mate destroyed by the stuff mentality at first but then physically even after the recovery. Stay well away.
I don't know the legal position but ethically you'd have to allow those who have already invested to take the higher rate. Has anyone heard any more from "half a million guy" mentioned on here a few days ago?

thank you for your thoughts. On the plus side, I am still out-performing Swin on Premium Bond returns on a monthly basis.

apart from June frowny
The Trust seem to be missing a trick on this bond thing - as it is obvious that there isn't going to be enough demand at the terms on offer and sending begging emails isn't going to change that. If the alternative would be to take out finance at 10%+, secured on the stadium, why not try offering a more realistic rate (say 10% rather than the 5% on offer) to fans to buy into the new issue. Clearly this would increase our interest costs but if the bond fails then we would have to pay that to a commercial lender anyway and it would be better to have 10% unsecured debt to fans rather than 10% secured debt to a commercial lender. Of course we might still not attract enough money but there is a chance, as people might see the rate as making it a gamble worth taking on the risk. Nobody, other than a truly committed fan, is going to lend to us at 5% when you can get 4.4% from a commercial bank, fully covered by the FSCS guarantee scheme but if you could get a really good rate for the loan then some might take the punt.

a4e - hello, mate. Nope. Pretty pants. Multiple family member mortalities, a period of unemployment (for the first time in very nearly a quarter of a century), depression, (standard levels of) alcohol abuse and the unfortunate resurgence of a gambling problem that had been dormant for over 30 years as a coping mechanism. But, on the plus side, I haven't had any ketamine in over a year.

Those aren’t really the Frequently Asked Questions though are they? “Where is the missing £400k and what is being done about it?” would have been a good one to frequently answer.

Watching the Manc derby, I’m now clueless as to how the offside rule is supposed to be applied - allowing that goal was completely bizarre, but I’m sure the refs on here will be able to clarify…

At the risk of repeating myself, there must be loads of you who want to own a share in Wimbledon’s best pub that is an AFC Wimbledon pub through and through. £250 gets you a piece of a unique opportunity to embed yourself in Wimbledon history. £1000 even better and you even secure a discount on your future drinks. I believe community owned pubs have a 98% success rate so long term returns and a place for future generations [Link]
