Wonder how long it took them to decide to rebrand from the PLC Board to the Club Board.

Mine were war related the other day,but classed as political. But surely by now no one takes what trumpy say as true..

We are pleased to announce that we are holding a ‘Meet the Club board’ event on Tuesday, 3rd February, from 7pm, in the 1889 Lounge at the Cherry Red Records Stadium. Everyone across the Club, whether you’re a member, supporter, volunteer, staff member, player, commercial partner - we all want the same thing: success for AFC Wimbledon. We encourage everyone associated with the club to hear an update from board members and senior management on key issues, as well as discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the club, giving you the chance to share your ideas, concerns or queries. We hope to cover a range of topics on the night, including: An update on the football department and Academy from Director of Football Craig Cope, which will open the event at 7pm The Club’s finances Minority investment progress Upcoming member votes Our Women's team Season Ticket plans ahead of the 2026/27 campaign Answering your questions, and contributing to the discussion, will be members of the ‘The Club board’ (previously known as the PLC board). The Club board is the Club’s day-to-day operational board. They oversee all club operations. The Dons Trust board is elected by the members of the Dons Trust, and, as the majority owner, oversees the Club board with three DT board members representing the DT on the Club board. Members of the Dons Trust board will also be in attendance on the night. As during the last 23 years, there will be key decisions to be made in the coming months, we urge as many members and fans as possible to attend. The lounge will be open from 5:30pm for those who wish to arrive early. The bar will be open, and a range of hot and cold snacks available to purchase. The event will start promptly at 7pm.

In truth, it wasn’t a political post, just a factual observation about morals… ☺️👍

Mav- in Q4 last year George received advice on the viability of having an online forum. The advice was that having a members' forum was a liability for the trust. Every expert spoken to advised against having one. Members' behaviour on Discord supports this conclusion. George and Reece believed the DT Forum should be shut down and not replaced. The board agreed to have a vote on the future of Discord in January and then review on a quarterly basis. I believe the vote happened this month to keep it open and review at end of season

Timmy - I took a break from board-related matters (including Discord) to clear my head. Are they closing Discord down and, if so, why? They've always banged on about how great it is. I must have missed something.

The rumours that we’re doing the rounds on Saturday and since are all addressed in the WHAD podcast. Too numerous to mention here. Some may be rubbish but we don’t know, which is kind of my point. They are all damaging and the are definitely affecting matchdays now.

I wish someone would tell me what you're all talking about, as I don't do any social media but this and can't get to matches much.

A4 also at the risk of being a politcal post I see our forces serving during the troubles in Northern Ireland are now at risk of private prosecutions.

Discord is to be kept open until at least the end of the season. People have asked for the rumours to be addressed but so far the questions have been ignored

At the risk of doing a political post, I’d just like to say thanks to Florida John for that post - I think we can all agree that, no matter which side of politics anyone is on, the insulting denigration of our brave (and fallen) troops yesterday was completely unacceptable… 😒🤮

People should keep expressing their views on these subjects robustly in this forum. During my time on the board there were a number of individuals who monitored the site obsessively and I don't see why that would have changed. If I posted something on socials that was considered to be out of order I would generally be taken to task within minutes.

The atmosphere was quiet and somber long before the game. Surely the boards can see that and want to something about it?

The atmosphere was really weird against Doncaster. I thought it was just down to our lack of scoring, or look like scoring at home. It was only when I went upstairs to the 1889 Lounge that people I know were coming over to see if I had heard all the rumours.

Stu, these rumours are different to the usual x has fallen out with the manager etc. You could feel the tension last week before a ball had been kicked. They need to take thier heads out of the sand to either assure us it’s all rubbish, or fill us in on what bits are true and explain why. If they can’t or won’t do that then they need to ask themselves what right they have ti be on a board that’s supposed to represent us. All these reputable sources sound like it’s the board telling thier mates over a pint or two.
