Although I was strongly pro fan ownership in the past, it seems clear that we cannot compete in L1 or probably even L2 with that business model. So if someone credible came along and offered to clear our debts, increase the stadium to 20,000 as we were promised and provide a decent (but not excessive) playing budget I would vote for a takeover. That’s if we are allowed to vote – I don’t understand the complexities of our fan-owned constitution.

Our shop is the right way around
Yeah and continuity of this crap is not a better thing than wholesale change - even if too late to turn the shop around.

It is the unbridgeable difference between owners and 'owners'. If we were genuinely owners we'd be in charge of the finances and able to make decisions based on facts. As 'owners' we're starved of information because of 'commercial confidentiality', an attitude that comes across as patronising even if it is not intended that way. And you can bet when the shit hits the fan, it will be the fault of the 'owners' for not coughing up enough money. That is why I am now convinced we need to stop being 'owners'.

Resign for who Aideen? If we are really in the shit, continuity is probably more important.

Also not sure if the club should come out and respond to rumours, although the amount of people talking about it from key sources was frightening on Saturday.
Yeah otherwise it’ll be out of the frying pan and back into the frying pan.

And given the collective membership’s poor decision making on electing appropriate board members that’s perhaps a good thing!

Sorry to ask a somewhat depressing question, but if we enter administration, we'd essentially have the administrators choose our future, right? Or could we vote on who comes in?

WhatsApp group debate.. thanks in advance!
The board's have proved they know what’s going on on social media by announcing Tilley with “ rumour mill’ headline. Ignoring all the other rumours which are fast gathering pace is just downright insulting . They need to engage or resign but they don’t have the integrity to do either sadly.

Kite - as they say, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong equipment/clothing… 😬 And yes, we did always have to make sure kids were correctly attired for the many many trips we took - Iceland was a good one for the clothing list… 🤪🥶

With regards Geoff Norcott, regardless of his politics, I just don't find him funny and therefore wouldn't pay to listen to him, tbh.

What RK said. I know I can be “somewhat down” on the DTB’s decision making skills, integrity, credibility, fit versus purpose, conduct and overall capability, but if we are in financial trouble (mainly due to all of the above being accepted for 7-10 years and getting worse year on year) then coming out and saying it could hasten our demise.

I know some would like that to get us over the line and into the future more quickly and they’re entitled to that view absolutely. For me when you have boards that have always preferred to bury their heads in the sand then things aren’t likely to change under these circumstances. Plus things are just rumours at the moment though I agree with Hash’s point that these things tend to have a knob of truth butter melting in there somewhere. Can understand the lacklustre performances.
Kentish should be on here. Please think about reinstating him and see how it goes?

I agree with Meadow. I have no desire to look at an ai image because it's not real. Generative ai is the Franchise of the art world. It needs to go away.

I don't think the Club or Trust will issue a statement. Problem being, there's a big tranche 2 bond redemption next year and I expect that there will, in a few months, be a big effort to twist arms to get bonds extended, donated to Club or converted to equity
