So have we written Aramark off yet or shall wait until they've poured their first pint and served their first prawn sandwich?

Doubt they'll have your favourite beer, the corporate bastards!
Maverick thanks, very frustrated though as by the time I know the new prices there won’t me much choice where else to sit when inevitably I won’t be able to afford much of an increase.

Automation is key. On top of making it easy for people to give up their seats we could also add a waiting list for sold out games. So if there is someone giving up 2 seats and someone waiting for 2 seats then a message can be sent to the waiter they are available. Experience will determine how long they have to claim these seats. If it can all be done via phone app or PC then it could work. Someone could cancel Sat morning and there could be a waiter ready to buy.

I take it this system is not in use yet. If so okay.
I'd start with no concessions in the premium blocks of the West Stand but the answer seems to be we want a mix of all ages in all areas.

Kingsmeadow was pretty close to that most years. As I say, opinions may have changed.

Hash: depends how much you get back too? If it’s a pittance my guess is you don’t bother

Alan iow was thinking along the same lines, maybe if 5 games you can't make as ST holder and don't inform the club you can't make it means no ST the next season. What with ST over a season making that seat cheaper ,than if sold at each matchday price.

Hard decision need to be made, probably no more concession for the west stand as they are premium seat prices matchday and we need to stem the loses
OI, but you were talking of an even tighter restriction on availability. Something like a 97% attendance rate IIRC most seasons

Hash, I remember that. The app you are right to point out could do that, and its a huge leap forward to be able to notify the club that little Jack or Jill won't be attending on a schools night and the SEAT is available. The incentive is clearly that in notifying the club, the seat has become available without punity to the ST holder. My understanding previously that making tickets available was a right faff, maybe less so via the app.

That was extremely unpopular when proposed back at Kingsmeadow, Alan. Views may have changed since of course.

Alan one of our previous CEOs suggested that or something along those lines and got destroyed for it. We need to incentivise and make it as easy as possible for people to return the seat and hopefully this donstix app will do that.

Alan IoW - In answer to your moral, no it doesn't imho. And I say that as a hospitality season ticket holder.

RE the season ticket thing, and its easy for me to say in as much as I don't have one, nor bought a batch to drop a big dollop of cash to help the club. It seems from my place that the obvious thing to do, is place tickets under the microscope and have a permissible/acceptable level of non attendance attached to it. If its not used a 6 times or more you lose it. Fucking harsh I know, but there's T&C's with everything these days. And its not like it can't be used by another to keep that condition satisfied.

Wealthy people can afford to write of 2/3's of the cost a ticket and not buy anything in the ground. does that make them more valued fans than those who get tickets in a piecemeal fashion and buy a pie and a pint when they are there? Its one POV but by no means the only one.
Aideen - Hospitality season tickets should be on sale before the end of this week I'm told.

I'll get my overcoat.
It’s a common problem for clubs up and down the country - try to maximise revenue when demand exceeds supply but without pricing out your loyal fans.

I see Budweiser is the official WC beer. A WC is just about the right place to tip it.

Agreed Trigger. It was striking how full the East and wider stadium were for the PO semi, a game where STs were not in use. First conclusive evidence to my eyes that a lot of empty seats are ST no shows but there are other factors obvs, ticketing system being one.

Raising child ST prices looks appropriate as they are pretty cheap so the upfront ST cash Vs walk up revenue trade off is less pronounced.
One thing we need to tackle next season is maximising match day revenue and avoiding those empty seats in the east stand. And no I don’t know an obvious solution.
