Sorry Silk but in the end with any company the shareholders make the decisions. We have an extra layer with the DTB and the plc board and equally we don't have a CEO, something I've been boring on about for the last four years! Even if we had a CEO, they would still be governed by the plc board. Three DTB members have to be on the plc board and have a veto on plc decisions so ownership/board level experience matters in my opinion.

OI - they do not need to be as they should have no say in running the club. Why we would let anyone not in full time employment with the club make any decisions on the club is baffling. They should be the conduit between the members and the CEO. Nothing more

If we cannot get outside investment then we have to cut the budget - probably from the reported £3 million to £2 million. This is not open to debate it is either that or go bankrupt. This would mean we would have to sign cheaper, younger players and this means rather than the experience we have now we would have to find a way utilise the likes of Mkeng and Hackford. Rather than mindless high balls we would need targeted balls behind the oppos defence for them to run onto. If the oppo drops to counter this it makes it easier to play in midfield. Even if Mkeng and Hackford are they may become the staple - that and cheap L2 quality players.

Next week I would play Hackford up with Stevens and use him to chase balls down the right and have two banks of four with Hippolyte and Browne creating wide like we did withTilley ad Neufville. With Bugiel and Mkeng on the bench to replace the front two after 60 as we did when we first got promoted from L2. Go back to basics 442
I don't know the personal history of DTB members but are there any who have either owned or been a main board director of a company the size of AFC Wimbledon plc previously?

Having not been on Twitter for years I don't care either way and I doubt the discussion used up a lot of bandwidth of DTB members. I do suspect that they spend time on issues that could be passed on to support teams if the latter were responsive and efficient.

the attempts to stir up the politics are best ignored and they'll eventually stop. As Leigh said, they aren't all going to be taken down, treat them as click bait
Why do we never ever get lucky like that? 🤷🏻‍♂️😭

I don't think the trust and co have a clue how to get us out of this finacial hole, we really are staring down the barrel now. Still least when we go into administration, sam can buy us and be allowed in the ground.

Woking - indeed, I agree - they should spend less time hand wringing about whether to post on Discord or X, and more time sorting out the real issues…. 🙄

Laurence - you don’t see X as a cesspit, yet you say that you have already “blocked several idiots this morning” - is that a normal morning, or is today unusual? I haven’t had an account there for a couple of years now, so the only time I see posts from there is when someone posts them on here…

To be honest, the problem is not whether the DTB is or isn’t on Twitter (who cares either way?), it is that they think that this is a sensible use of their limited attention span at a time when the club is rapidly approaching administration. To me, the whole problem with an elected board has always been that you get people who are elected because they are with the fanbase and/or able to manipulate rules and procedures to exclude outsiders but lack the basic competence to oversee the management of a business. The one consolation to me of our approaching financial crisis is that this ridiculous structure will be swept away.

I noticed that Rotherham scored 2 away at Stockport yesterday (they still lost) but it did make me think that that’s a guaranteed win for them next weekend (because they can score goals and we can’t). But then I saw one of those goals. Stockport keeper goes for a quick drop-kick. His own defender ducks to make way. The ball cannons off his butt and back into the next for an own goal.

The point still remains - if you can score a goal at the moment then you have us beat while we strive for a valiant 0-0 draw. Heads in the sand from Trust to pitch.
We're pretty much out of cash by Summer with 2027 being the a big year of bond repayments, possibly £2m to £2.5m

I don't see this cesspit people refer to on twitter. I have blocked several idiots this morning. My timeline includes football, climate, Iranian protests, some politics, and I follow 2456. Maybe choose who you follow aligns with your interests.

I was a on security webinar last week. They talked about Grok. Pointed out it would take lots of prompts to create images people dislike. Quicker on Adobe Photoshop. Will there be a ban on using this product instead?
