I’m really struggling to make head nor tail of all this DT stuff. Normally reading on here helps but I’m still at a loss. Is anyone able to offer a simple explanation into what exactly we’re being asked to do? Why are there 2 SGMs? Is 50.01 vote linked to others or can I vote for that alone?

Folks I go to games with have given up and saying they won’t vote. I tried to convince they should then looked like a mug when I couldn’t explain what exactly we were voting for.
Will the DTB reap what they have sown? A failure to reach the required level of support for 50+1 because many of those recipients they handed membership to free of charge will take no notice of anything that is as unintelligible to many as the recent communications are.

I deliberately cancelled my membership some time ago. Apparently, I have been given it back. But, I won't be using it.
I might be condemning the club to oblivion but I really can't vote for 50+1.

To me tge whole 50%+1/ removal of the 15% limit thing is quite unlikely to prevent administration (I simply don’t believe that we will attract a minority investor who will cover our ongoing losses) but it’s definitely a step in the right direction and will likely result in us having a significant investor who will be in prime position to step in and take real control when the money runs out, so I am inclined to vote in favour of that. To me it seems slightly mad to be tying this vote up with all the pointless complexity of a new constitution, but perhaps I am missing something as I haven’t given that aspect any real thought.

OI - they’ll need more than that, but if they keep winning, they’ll be on a stairway to heaven…. 😂

And meanwhile where is the £400k or any action on trying to rescue the £400k or any learnings for how to stop another £400k disappearing into the same hole?

Vote NO otherwise more of your money and investor money will disappear without trace.

And I understand that too ML. Voting NO, according to the DTB, pretty much condemns us to administration in the short term. Voting YES appears to line the pockets of some select people before administration in the slightly less short term.

Nobody wants to see their own club go under. Unless they’re in the grips of bad owners they can’t get rid of.
Trigger - I get where you are coming from but it’s a “yes” for me all day long. It’s the first step

That sounds plausible OI in terms of it being about member resolutions.

Personally I feel like the 50+1 vote is a very simple choice between myriad worst case scenarios. Have voted NO accordingly. Too many reasons to explain but if this board recommends something then it’s wrong.

I may be wrong but my understanding is that the DTB would only make recommendations on members resolutions if there was a legal or similar compeliing concern. I would have thought by definition they wanted you to vote for any resolution they put forward. Why would they propose something they wanted the membership to oppose?

Don’t know RK - the DTB only explained exactly what voting FOR means in their email, whilst confirming that that’s what the DTb recommends.

I thought there had been a successful member resolution brought to stop exactly that behaviour. Maybe people don’t care about that stuff anymore as long as the money is flowing.
We stay 14th as tonight’s results finish OK for us 👏

“HOW TO VOTE We have received feedback that the technical wording can be confusing. To be clear: Voting "FOR" = Voting "YES" A "FOR" vote supports the board’s recommendation to unlock investment while keeping fans in the driving seat.”

From the latest DTB email. There is no explanation for what voting “AGAINST” means - I thought the board weren’t supposed to be making recommendations anymore?
And Jennings got the assist.
