RP - the odds are strongly in favour of us staying up but I'll relax when we have those 9 points.

and 'mathematically safe' matters to a mathematician ;)
Looking at our survival chances... It seems to be generally accepted that 52 points should be enough to stay up this season. That's only 9 points more than the 43 we currently have. We have 8 remaining home games and the average current league position of the teams we'll face is 14th - the same as us right now. We also have 5 remaining away games and the average current league position of those teams is 10th, 2 places above us. Surely this is doable?

Yeah RK is a cockney compared to me. I think Mr & Mrs Pads live furthest out west of the regular wuppers.

Can’t watch Woking after they just sacked Ardley and Bassey. Could go to the Cotswold derby as it’s Fairford Town v Cirencester tomorrow but what with all the bombers due at the air base I think I’ll give it a swerve.
Doesn't Trig live out in the sticks somewhere, even further than RK?
6th Mar 2026 13:34:23 [86.lo.gg.ed]
not that I'm stalking either of them
Braz - that would be an astonishing thing to happen, but the mixed emotions for Spurs fans would be so funny to see… To be honest, there are probably some of their fans who would take that right now… Trigg - you could always go to watch Sutton vs Morecambe tomorrow, or maybe Woking vs someone like Tamworth…

Morning all. Apparently installing Acestream and knowing the right website is very good for that sort of thing.

Obviously illegal stream is wrong, and it is beyond any comprehension why anyone would deny clubs and television companies millions of pounds in lost revenue.
Ah I’ve seen it already ;)

Ah ok what’s the other one on BBC? Can’t say I have any interest in the Wrexham v Chelsea game.
6th Mar 2026 09:59:26 [195.lo.gg.ed]
Both teams to lose kinda game
I think only Wrexham v Chelsea is on BBC. Mansfield v Arsenal and Newcastle v Man City are both on TNT.

Getting more and more persuaded to go down the dodgy stick route.
Two on BBC, all on TNT I think

Aren’t most of the FA Cup games hidden away on TNT? That was a dreadful deal for the FA to make it’s hidden the competition away from many.
6th Mar 2026 09:50:36 [195.lo.gg.ed]
Have to go through pop up hell to watch the games via dodgy apps - if you’re into that sort of thing of course
TF, we've got live FA cup and six nations

I don’t like Saturdays without games. Dog’s always looking at me like “what are you doing here?” Tomorrow’s gonna be weird.

6MDM - the late John Duncan did I deed get a hat trick. I think the other nay have been a Keith Osgood penalty. I also remember Spurs getting relegated in 76/77 and then coming straight back up. They were featured on "The Big Match" when they beat Bristol Rovers 9-0 (Colin Lee Scored 4 on his debut with Ian Moores scoring 3, plus gials from Glen Hoddle and John Pratt iirc. Then that summer they signed Ardiles and Villa.

When that European Super League thing was mooted a few years ago, weren't Spurs one of the six from England going to join it? Not sure that would work if they were in the 2nd division [Link]
5th Mar 2026 22:21:27 [86.lo.gg.ed]
This just gets funnier and funnier.
Arsenal fans would be in dreamland if they won the league the same season Spurs got relegated. It's entirely possible but I suspect neither will happen. Don't care about who wins the league but for sheer amusement value Spurs getting relegated would be beyond hilarious, even if they would just come straight back up.
5th Mar 2026 22:03:12 [86.lo.gg.ed]
I remember Spurs in the old 2nd division in the 1970s. They were crap back then. Having said that, I also remember in WFC's first season in the league in 1977 we played them away in the 2nd round of the League Cup and lost 4-0 (John Duncan hattrick for them - the next season we lost 8-0 away to Everton in the same competition at the same stage).
