John Green to the rescue yet again! Are we really that different to other clubs ? Relying on a few rich people to plug unsustainable losses and having loads of loans !

Nelson is highly rated but I'd suspect Luton want old hands who can dig them out of league one (in the correct direction).

It’s been clear for a long while that midfield is an area that needs help so hopefully these two signings go some way to resolving that. It’s a bit of a concern that the lad from Luton is an ‘attacking’ midfielder but has hardly scored any goals but a Luton supporting friend of mine is a bit surprised they’ve let him leave as he’s played in 26 matches this season. I wouldn’t mind the addition of one more striker but I doubt if the budget will stretch that far.

Oo er missus!
Bear with me RK… getting in loanees who can’t get into their own squads in the same division isn’t exactly ambitious. But (1) I do have faith in CC to do the best he can with the budget he’s given and But (2) Nelson in particular comes out of a club rich in resource so competition for places is fair do’s.

'We would like to thank John Green and his friends who kindly contributed to our January transfer window funds, as well as those supporters who gave so generously to the We Are Wimbledon Fund in recent months.'

Spit probs on a bit of a wind up, but looking at Chuks raises an interesting hypothetical moral question. Yes, he was at scum for 3 years, but left them 7 years ago and is now a free agent. Should we sign him? Main criteria of course, is would he be good enough?

One thing with Tilley is the ball will go forward on the deck more with him there and only go ariel into the area and not all the time.

That was the big difference with him and Neufville in the side, the ball got played down the flanks for them to take it on. Something Seddon is also good at.

Tomswig - The whole ACN tournament was as crazy as it gets, the final being no different. How do you stop players rolling around feigning injury at the slightest touch, or even no contact at all? It's a pity because there was some great football going on most of the time, skills we rarely see in England. I enjoyed the final and felt Senegal were worthy winners in the end, even if the ref was hellbent on giving Morocco every decision (in the first half at least). The better team on the day, won.

Swig - I agree, a clear foul, and rightly penalised. I was actually astounded at the commentary team who were saying there wasn’t a foul there 🤷🏻‍♂️

Football is weird. A week or so ago Martinelli was being berated for rolling the injured Liverpool player off the pitch. Yesterday a Brighton player pulled an 'injured' Bournemouth player back onto the pitch (no idea why) and nobody mentioned it at all.
