I'm not buying all this emoji stuff as an excuse. It's like someone being abuse to somebody and then saying, "only joking" afterwards, as if that somehow absolves them from their behaviour. When someone has a track record of not liking things (posts about politics, links to Twitter, any excuse to have a go at StD, etc) then when they now start complaining that posts are too long then that is what they mean, without having to decipher what some cartoon face that is illegible without a pair of binoculars might infer.

This Guestbook has been like a ghost town on most days in recent months. It used to be vibrant but that came at a cost of abusive posters. It is far more pleasant now, even if you can read all the posts of any given day in 10 minutes. Don't make it even less vibrant by complaining about discussions about the club being too long.
Was that about the number of points we get in January each season?

Didn't the Wimbledon MP mention us after the 1988 Cup Final? Shame on him.

Alan - our previous pop up in Parliament was in 1986 when Thatcher was saying, iirc, what a meritocracy the UK was including the line 'if Wimbledon can reach the First Division'.

Are emojis bigger when shown on mobiles? Even with a large monitor on my PC they are too small for me to distinguish betwen so I follow a4e's advice of ignoring them

Years back I played for Wimbledon Rangers in the South Thameside League. We were top of the premier division halfway through the season. However, we had a player who for whatever reason hadn't signed the registration form. He had played for us for 5 years and was happily signing the match card each week. We had all the points deducted for the games in which he played despite it being an admin error and no attempt to play a ringer. Oddly, the league registration secretary was the an official of the club in 2nd place 🤔🤔

Wasn't he called Turdey by many at that time? Perhaps that's what he complained about.

The way I remember Darlogate was that the FA realised their rules were not fit for purpose when a long term accidental registration offence happened. So they appointed someone to oversee the appeal with the intention of cutting the penalty drastically and then turning that into the ongoing penalty. I think you now only lose 3 points unless they think you were taking the piss.

Turvey was upset with that and I think he complained about some of the posts on here to the club (could be misremembering)
A4E my eyesight is too weak to differentiate emojis on this site so I ignore totally them

Darlogate and not being allowed into the Rymans were both down to rules although wasn't there some discretion / leeway possible on Darlogate?

We certainly were in December
I may be wrong, but IIRC Turvey got loads of abuse, inc on here, over Darlo(?)gate. He may have been an old buffer in a blazer but he had stuck up for us with the FA, so in my view some respect and thanks were due; he was only sticking to the (admittedly stupid) rules.

All this talk of the Cobblers being crap against us seems to forget 10th Feb this year. That could have been a nice little earner for us.
6M - only kidding (hence the 😉), although I confess my attention span isn’t great 🤪 I find it hard to focus on JG’s posts as they’re often “listen to me I’m a hugely successful businessman and I definitely know best ok….” 😯

Is this post short enough a4e or would you like it even shorter if it is too long for your attention span? It is hard to have a discussion in a couple of words.
