That was bloody good, Rob. Can you say the same again for next season?

SB - if you're still lurking, who else predicted what? And what was the most common position?

Had a feeling we'd be playoff bound last close season, but can't explain why
SB - did I? That was a decent bit of guesswork

We really need to score more goals from attacking corners - how many last seasons?

Assuming Kelly is on low money it's probably worth giving him a go in L1 where style of play is very slightly less cloggertastic. May give him more opportunities at playing against higher back lines / with the ball on the floor, which I expect would suit his game better.

Agreed on Bugiel. Stevens will become a bit anonymous IMO. Still haven't seen anything from Sasu that makes me think he'll do anything whatsoever in L1, but would love him to prove me wrong. Loan for Foyo, maybe National League, would make sense.
4400 season tickets renewed.

I always thought Kelly looked good out wide. Put him in the middle and he looks lost and one on one with the keeper he is still not good enough.

Trigs - I think Kelly looks good at what he does, our coaches need to expand his repertoire. One of Foyo and Sasu (possibly both, depending on signings) should go out on loan.

Nothing against the lad he's an honest player but I feel like Kelly needs to go out on loan to free up space in the squad. He didn't step up to L2 there's no way he's going to cope at L1.

If pushed I'd probably only keep Bugiel - again not intended as harsh criticism of anyone just looking at the reality of the situation.
IIRC Stevens scored loads in FGR's promotion season but not in their Lge One season. Maybe he had an injury too

possibly it's all about confidence and, when he has a lean spell, sruggles to achieve a turnaround
Pre-season, we need coaches to work hard with Kelly, Stevens, Bugiel, Sasu, Foyo and any new signings. Think outside the box - formations, tactics, everything on the table. We know what each of them does best atm (Stevens-goals*,Bugiel-hold up play, Kelly-link up play, Sasu-pace, Foyo-running at players) , but we need to be greedy - we need more from each of them. Without being complacent, our defence should be okay next season, so the bulk of the work needs to be done on our attack, imho.

What makes us so sure Neuf is off? I don't doubt it's a possibility or even likelihood but he may see that a season of starting all games with us on lower money (with the promise we'll let him go when the right offer comes) might be better than bench warming at a bigger L1 club. He has been an excellent L2 player but, with respect, not Championship quality just yet.

Johnson seems like the lowest hanging of the new deal fruit, but I'm pleased to hear he's staying. Got to keep the backbone together as far as possible.

Come on Silk, you still have to pay the £80 million to the original club, in fact you probably have paid a lot of it, the £20 million per year is amortisation rather than stage payments on the fee.

Try telling your mortgage company that as ypou've sold the house you don't need to repay the mortgage!
If we play our cagy game in league 1 would expect plenty of 1.0.defeats against better strikers and teams.and a
bottom 6 finish If we open upa bit and find some fast strikers who might score a few we will finish in the 3rd promotion spot .

16/17 season we were 12th as late as the 41st game but forgot to score in our last 5 and slipped at the end. Was actually quite a good season overall.

People often say this 'Ardley only had one good half season' thing but it is factually not true.
