Got to get shot of three-year terms, we should never have done it in the first place because no board will ever undo it (turkeys/Xmas rule).

fwiw, if we had got member resolutions needing simple majority through the members SGM, that would have been on the list.
Protest vote didn’t go too well - 4th in a 6 horse race

Great, 3 more years of drake telling us we are wrong, and ignoring our questions.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me and to Graham Stacey for organising hustings.
Hopefully we can have a more contested election next year as that will be better for everyone.
And if you didn't vote for me I hope you see improvement next year and may consider doing so in future.

OTD is wrong again. Fact checked on both 11v11 and Historical Dons websites, we didn't play on 7/10/87. We played Rochdale in the League Cup the previous day.

a4e - 7th November would have been a Saturday so not sure. I wish there was film of that goal to see if it was as good as I remember.

OI - apparently we didn’t have a match on 7th October 1987, and the 2-0 home win against Southampton on 7th November might be what’s shown…? The opposition appear to be in red and white stripes in the photo shown, which would fit. Also, as far as I can tell, our only other 2-0 home league win that season was against Luton, and I can’t really see them having a red and white striped away kit (maybe they did…?), plus that game was in March 1988… 🤷🏻♂️

I can't work out the answer to OTD but if it was an evening match, was it the Carlton Fairweather wonder goal, dribbling past several players before shooting? The sort of goal that if John Barnes had scored it would have been all over TV and the papers for weeks.

Talking of Whataboutry Neville and his brainwashed followers, when do we officially hear that Drake got 2000 votes? 😂

If the left didn't keep on about a flag being hijack and racist, people might just associate it with being English or British like ever other nation that fly their flag., my mates Moroccan wife can't believe people in this country object to it.

My Garage has the English flag alongside the Lithuanian flag.no one bats an eyelid.
What they think is irrelevant Silk except the media love reporting it. I fail to understand how being able to kick a ball better than most or repeat lines from a script qualify these people to pontificate. By the way, I don't fly any flags at home but reserve the right to do so if I choose and at whatever time I choose.

To be fair Roy Keane can be, sometimes intentionally, funny but I am mystified why one would ever care what the likes of Neville* and Redknapp think about anything.

* I guess the Salford fans have to care a bit about Neville.
I don’t tend to read or listen to anything Neville says (or any football pundit these days tbh - Wayne Rooney giving insight on MOTD… really?) but I did chuckle at the headline where Neville asks “why are middle aged white men so angry?” whilst being an angry middle aged white man at the time.

“Lose four lose no more” - Alan Hansen. That’s what we want to hear from our pundits.
The moral was an incitement to violence, a cliched one but still an incitement to violence.

I agree with Meadow, Gary Neville's comments were balanced but if others wish to think him a cunt, fair enough
Shane - I completely agree with your moral 👏 This place has been so much better since most of the political stuff stopped - keeping it that way helps reduce the potential for toxicity 🙂👌

Part of the beauty of Wup (for me) is that it’s a mixing pot of opinions and information outside of football. I do think that avoiding direct political discussion has been a good move that everyone has leaned into. Other than that it’s good to chat non-footy stuff at times - especially when the football is going so well it’s getting a little dull 😁
Thanks for your support everyone. As I said, fly an England flag in Scotland (or Wales for that matter) and you'll pretty soon find out who the real racists are. I would hate to see WUP shut down Shane, so I'll try to stick to football, on this forum at least. JJ and his team are making us all feel good at the moment and we can beat any team in this division, until January at least.
