Thanks to everyone who voted for me and to ⁨Graham Stacey⁩ for organising hustings. Hopefully we can have a more contested election next year as that will be better for everyone. And if you didn't vote for me I hope you see improvement next year and may consider doing so in future.

OTD is wrong again. Fact checked on both 11v11 and Historical Dons websites, we didn't play on 7/10/87. We played Rochdale in the League Cup the previous day.

a4e - 7th November would have been a Saturday so not sure. I wish there was film of that goal to see if it was as good as I remember.

OI - apparently we didn’t have a match on 7th October 1987, and the 2-0 home win against Southampton on 7th November might be what’s shown…? The opposition appear to be in red and white stripes in the photo shown, which would fit. Also, as far as I can tell, our only other 2-0 home league win that season was against Luton, and I can’t really see them having a red and white striped away kit (maybe they did…?), plus that game was in March 1988… 🤷🏻‍♂️

I can't work out the answer to OTD but if it was an evening match, was it the Carlton Fairweather wonder goal, dribbling past several players before shooting? The sort of goal that if John Barnes had scored it would have been all over TV and the papers for weeks.

What they think is irrelevant Silk except the media love reporting it. I fail to understand how being able to kick a ball better than most or repeat lines from a script qualify these people to pontificate. By the way, I don't fly any flags at home but reserve the right to do so if I choose and at whatever time I choose.

To be fair Roy Keane can be, sometimes intentionally, funny but I am mystified why one would ever care what the likes of Neville* and Redknapp think about anything.

I don’t tend to read or listen to anything Neville says (or any football pundit these days tbh - Wayne Rooney giving insight on MOTD… really?) but I did chuckle at the headline where Neville asks “why are middle aged white men so angry?” whilst being an angry middle aged white man at the time.

The moral was an incitement to violence, a cliched one but still an incitement to violence.
