The RNLI is an interesting one regarding the small boats. I don't understand how the French can allow a sea craft that clearly isn't fit for the journey enter the sea, but the RNLI, who are working in our waters, comply with maritime law, knowing that a boat is dangerously overload, can't un-see this and they've an obligation to ensure the occupants are safe.

The management company on the IoW is viewed in a different light however, in closing its long history doors on building craft here.
One great thing about the RNLI is that it is still operating in The Republic of Ireland with Royal in it's name.

Yes the world has changed since the Solomon Browne disaster but the RNLI principle remains the same - saving lives at sea. If you don’t like which lives they are saving then the problem and solution doesn’t lie with them.

Last time a politician accused them of being a taxi service they had a record month. Attacking the RLNI really pisses off Middle England, on a par with kicking a labrador puppy.

But I concur with what I believe is your underlying point - very brave and selfless men and women and the idiots abusing them should hang their heads in shame.
I wonder just how much above usual, donations to the RLNI will be this week. At the moment you can get someone's name 'engraved' on a new Thames lifeboat for a £75 donation.

OI - I’m not sure any more, but if you’re in Devon and they aren’t working properly, it could be because of this mob….

Oh, I'll just walk across the road, waving me zimmer at the speeding motors then. Never mind the f*cked up traffic lights killing old folk with some kind of laser beam.

Better off fitting all vehicles with mobile phone signal blockers, if such tech exists...which of course it does, but it's cheaper to mow OAPs down (this may or may not be my sick sense of reality kicking in).
Does that mean I shouldn't stop at them when they are red a4e?

1-1 is my guess, having been a goal down from early on, first 10 minutes. A second camp out eventually yielding dividends, but not @ $5k per spectator...

Maycock yet the hero once more, with the headmaster providing a lesson on assisting as per Monday.
