I remember watching a film of Cooper v Tomasoni way back when. Dirty figher, Tomasoni, 3 low blows on 'Enery, with no protection from a partisan ref. 2 knock downs each, before Cooper KO'd the Italian in round 5. Trawling Youtube for Cooper fights, it's 90% Ali v Cooper. One or two other fights, that's all. You'd think our 'Enery would warrant better than that. Twice SPOTY, the only boxer to be knighted and the best they can do is Ali, Billie Walker, Bodell, Bugner and about 90secs of Ingmar Johansen.

I thought the ref had cautioned one of them as well when he did Stockley.

Laurence - Ref appeared to book one of them after booking Stockley - presumably for dissent. BBC had it down as their GK. After match that booking disappeared and became 90+4. Strangely the earlier booking did not move to another player. Will be interested to watch the full match later to review the incident again.

ref was out of his depth when it came to time allowed for goal kicks and throw ins. Appeared to book their keeper twice, press box were perplexed. Fourth Official once again took too long on subs, which saw JJ infuriated and kicked something in anger.

Yes, JJ did seem much more animated and angry than I’ve seen him before, not sure why - he was definitely furious about a few of the refereeing decisions…
