Another problem of our digital age where two options (am/pm) are simpler than four (midnight/am/noon/pm). The more common interpretation is that 12pm is 12 noon.

Spit - Yes, LMFAO. It was right at the top of my screen and my eyes just saw the red card where the time all looked wrong. I remembered Jones as being sent off early after he thought Anderton had spat at him whereas Anderton just claimed he was clearing his mouth spitting at the ground (iirc)

If OtD is the game I think it is, I will always be grateful to Gerry Francis (GF) who was manager of Spurs at that time. My daughter, who was ten, was collecting autographs in the car park when she saw him drive in and park up. She went over to the car, which had the driver's window down. He was talking to some friends in the car. She waited patiently nearby. As she did so, John Motson went up to the car and started talking to GF. GF just looked at Motson and told him that he would have to wait patiently like the young lady was and that when he had finished talking to his friends she would be first. He was so polite and gave her a lot of his time making Motson wait. The look on Motson's face was priceless.
